Q. How does your method measure up against Sandboxie?

A. I am firmly opposed to virtual sandbox programs, as a keylogger could run quite easily inside the sandbox and still intercept keystrokes. Proponents of virtual sandbox programs advise users to empty the sandbox immediately before logging into e-mail accounts, bank accounts, or any other accounts which contain sensitive data. But frankly, EVERYONE forgets now and then. And with the World Wide Web running as rampant with threats as it is, I guarantee that somebody out there pays the price for such a slip-up every so often. I do, however, favor policy sandboxes, and would love to see GentleSecurity finally produce the 64-bit version of GeSWall that they have been promising us for the last few years. I won't hold my breath, though.
